Senator Saxby Chambliss’ Stance: Enumerated Powers Act
I often use Downsize DC to contact my elected officials here in Georgia using the campaigns and system they have set up. This is my latest response from Senator Saxby Chambliss on the Enumerated Powers Act.
H.R. 450 was introduced on January 9, 2009 and referred to the House Judiciary Committee. This legislation would require all bills introduced in Congress to include a statement setting forth the specific constitutional authority under which the law is being enacted. I was a co-sponsor of the Senate version, S. 3159, during the previous Congress and will vote for its passage if it comes before the Senate during the 111th Congress.
