Let’s Change America

We want to make fellow Americans aware of the issues in Washington that need change, and provide them with the information along with the Bills that would bring the much needed change to our great nation. We the people can restore our republic and return our country back to our founding principles
of individual liberty and constitutionally limited government. We urge you to be passionate and come together to make this happen. Together we can.

"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people… They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty." -Thomas Jefferson

About

‘Let’s Change America’ is a website whose main purpose is to make fellow Americans aware of the issues in Washington that need change.  Our current President, Barack Obama, campaigned on the promise of change.  What we’ve seen thus far, is nothing more than the Status Quo.  We need to stop just sitting back, and become more active in the whole political process.

Ask yourself what kind of Government the United States is, and I’ll bet you that most will say a Democracy.  The truth is that is a common misconception.  Say the Pledge of Allegiance to yourself, and you’ll be reminded that “to the Republic for which it stands.”

As Benjamin Franklin left the Constitutional Convention, on September 18, 1787, a certain Mrs. Powel shouted out to him: “Well, doctor, what have we got?,” and Franklin responded: “A Republic, if you can keep it.” Like many of the Founding Fathers, he was intensely concerned that the democratic institutions they were crafting would deteriorate over time. In particular, they were concerned—and talked ceaselessly during the convention about the risk that, under pressures and exigencies of war, a tyrant would collapse their system into something closer to the monarchy that they had just defeated. Over the intervening 220 years, the republic has maintained itself, though not without close calls. And today, while we face what may be the gravest challenge in the nation’s history, our media will serve up the next chapter in the life of Paris Hilton.  Source

The Republic needs your help now more than ever.  We urge you to stand up, make your voice heard, and get involved today!

At the bottom of each issue’s page, we have bills that we believe would bring much needed change to America under that subject.  Please read about those bills, see why we promote them, and if in agreement, urge your representative to support them today!
